This year marked the third annual rummage sale at our Home, and once again, it brought together staff, Residents, and supporters for a day filled with purpose and community spirit. Held on a beautiful day with clear skies and a light breeze, the weather made it the perfect setting for shoppers to stroll through and browse.
From start to finish, volunteers played a key role in making the day run smoothly. Whether setting up tables, organizing items, greeting shoppers, or helping with cleanup, each person gave their time generously and with heart. Their behind-the-scenes effort is what made the event such a positive experience for everyone involved.
Cindy, our volunteer coordinator, shared how meaningful this tradition has become. “It’s a lot of work, but it’s worth it.”
All proceeds from this year’s sale will go toward purchasing new refrigerators for the apartment Residents, showing how something as simple as a rummage sale can help meet real needs. Every purchase made supports our mission and improves the daily life for our Residents.
Cindy offered a heartfelt thank you: “We want to thank all our benefactors who came to get a bargain. We hope they’re happy with their purchase and know that the proceeds are going to a good cause. Thank you for supporting the Little Sisters of the Poor!”
For those who missed this year’s rummage sale, don’t worry. We’re already looking ahead to our annual Christmas Bazaar and raffle later this year. We hope to see you there!
