A Valentine’s Tradition Filled with Love

By February 19, 2025February 21st, 2025No Comments

Love was truly in the air this Valentine’s Day as we welcomed the Hershey High School Love Bus to St. Joseph’s Home! For over 50 years, this incredible group of students has made it their mission to spread joy, and they certainly did not disappoint this year!

The highlight? The football team, all smiles and full of energy, handed out beautiful roses to our Residents. There’s nothing quite like the sight of our dear elderly Residents receiving a fresh rose and a heartfelt “Happy Valentine’s Day” from these young gentlemen. It’s a small gesture that carries so much warmth, reminding them how cherished they are.

But the love didn’t stop there! The celebration continued with dazzling performances from Hershey’s talented cheerleaders, poms team, orchesis dancers, choir, theater group, sports teams, and orchestra. The room was filled with music, movement, and so much enthusiasm that even our Residents couldn’t resist tapping their feet and swaying along. Some even joined in on the fun with a little singing of their own!

These students didn’t just bring entertainment—they brought companionship, laughter, and a reminder that love knows no age. Their visit is a beautiful tradition that bridges generations and brings immense joy to everyone at our Home.

To the incredible students, coaches, and staff of Hershey High School: thank you for your kindness, your talent, and your commitment to making Valentine’s Day so special for our Residents. We are beyond grateful for this tradition and look forward to welcoming the Love Bus for many years to come!
