A Garden Grown with Love

By May 24, 2026No Comments

At Saint Joseph’s Home, we are continually touched by the kindness and generosity of those who support our mission in meaningful ways.

Recently, Eagle Scout candidate Dylan Ferguson chose the Little Sisters of the Poor for his Eagle Scout service project. Dylan’s vision was to transform an old and overgrown garden on the side of our Home into a beautiful flower garden for our Residents and Sisters to enjoy.

Together with his team, Dylan weeded the existing beds, turned over the soil, added fresh nutrient rich soil and compost, removed the old steel borders, and installed new resin edging to give the space new life and beauty.

What makes this garden especially meaningful is its purpose. Residents and Sisters will be able to pick flowers to share with loved ones or place in our chapel, creating small moments of joy, prayer, and connection.

We are so grateful to Dylan for his hard work, leadership, and generous heart. His project is more than a garden. It is a beautiful gift to our Home that will continue to bring happiness to many for years to come.

Thank you, Dylan, for planting something truly special at Saint Joseph’s Home.
