Our 4th of July at Little Sisters of the Poor in Palatine was a heartwarming celebration filled with joy and patriotism.
We kicked off the day with a beautiful prayer service and a flag-raising ceremony. Following that, we had a delightful cookout on our patio, where Residents, Sisters, Priests, and Staff gathered to enjoy the lovely weather and delicious food. The spirit of togetherness was evident, and everyone had a fantastic time.
The festivities continued on Saturday as our Residents and Sisters participated in the Palatine Hometown Parade. Residents waved proudly from the van while sisters walked the streets, greeting parade watchers with warm smiles and patriotic cheer. It was a memorable celebration that truly embodied the spirit of Independence Day.
