For more than half a century, Hershey High School has brightened our February with one of our most cherished traditions: the annual Love Bus visit. This year marked an incredible 56 years of students bringing music, movement, and heartfelt connection to our residents, and the joy they delivered was as vibrant as ever.
The celebration filled our Home with energy from the moment the students arrived dressed in festive pinks and reds for Valentine’s Day. The Orchesis dancers opened the program with beautifully choreographed pieces, followed by spirited performances from the cheerleaders that had everyone smiling and clapping. The orchestra ensemble followed with a beautiful selection of classic love songs, creating a warm and nostalgic atmosphere.
The show wrapped with all of the students sharing love songs purely for fun. Their lighthearted, genuine performance was the perfect finale, leaving residents smiling long after the last note.
Before the show, students spent time chatting with residents, exchanging stories and laughter. They handed out handmade flowers and made sure each resident received a personal Valentine’s Day wish. These small gestures created moments of connection that means so much.
We are deeply grateful for Hershy High School’s continued dedication to this tradition. Their visit reminds us how powerful kindness and community can be. Here’s to 56 years of love and to many more visits that warm our hearts!
