Happy Year of the Horse! Celebrating Chinese New Year Together

By March 2, 2026No Comments

Our community welcomed the Chinese New Year with a joyful celebration filled with tradition and togetherness. The auditorium came alive with festive decorations of bright reds, gold accents, and symbolic ornaments that set the tone for a day centered on hope and renewal. One of the highlights was the distribution of red envelopes to residents, a cherished custom symbolizing good fortune and blessings for the year ahead.

Sister Christine and the kitchen staff prepared an impressive spread of homemade Chinese traditional dishes, filling the room with the comforting aromas of a festive meal prepared with care. Their hard work and generosity created a meal that brought everyone together around the table.

The celebration fostered a warm sense of unity among staff, residents, and sisters. Conversation flowed, laughter echoed through the halls, and the spirit of connection felt stronger than ever. As we exchanged well-wishes for prosperity, health, and happiness in the new year, the day became a reminder of the values we share and the joy of gathering as a community.
