Saint Joseph’s Home for the Holidays: A Night to Remember!

By November 13, 2024No Comments

What a night! We were so excited to bring back our beloved Saint Joseph’s Home for the Holidays Wine Tasting event this year after a hiatus during the pandemic. And wow – what a reunion it was! Held in our cozy auditorium, the event was bigger than ever, with nearly 150 guests joining us to kick off the holiday season in style. We couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who came out to support our Home – it was truly a community effort!

The evening was full of festive cheer, thanks to our amazing Friends, Sisters, Staff, and local businesses. Our kitchen staff whipped up a spread of mouthwatering foods and desserts, while local restaurants like Napoli Per Tutti, Vini’s Pizza, and Nothing Bundt Cakes donated delicious treats for everyone to enjoy. D’Vine Wines and Gifts provided the perfect selection of wines, oils, dips, and fudges, giving our guests a little taste of the season’s finest.

But it wasn’t just about the food and drinks – it was a celebration of community. Guests had the chance to meet the Little Sisters, chat with our Residents, and take a tour of our beautifully decorated home which was lovingly decorated by our Housekeeping staff to capture the magic of the season. There was so much joy in the air, and we were so happy to see familiar faces and make new friends.

A huge thank you to D’Vine Wines and Gifts, who not only provided the delicious wine but also generously gave a percentage of all sales to support the Little Sisters of the Poor – both during the event and for the rest of the year for anyone who mentions us!

And here’s the best part: thanks to the incredible generosity of a private foundation that matches donations for our #GivingTuesday Appeal, all donations made during the event were doubled! That means everything we raised that night will have twice the impact, helping to ensure that our Residents continue to receive the highest level of care and support.

We are so grateful to everyone who came out to support this special evening. It was a magical reminder of how powerful our community is when we come together for a cause. Mark your calendars for our #GivingTuesday campaign on Tuesday, December 3 – we’re already feeling the love! This year, our extremely generous foundation has decided to match up to $120,000!
