On October 8, as part of our celebration of the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, we held a prayer service for the conclusion of the Season of Creation, along with a meaningful memorial tree planting and blessing. Gathered behind our home, next to the statue of St. Joseph, we came together to honor our beloved Little Sisters who have recently passed away.
This tree planting ceremony serves as a living tribute, nurturing not just the memory of Sisters Patricia Clare, Vincent, Clotilde, and Genevieve, but also our commitment to care for God’s creation. Just as their lives were a testament to faith and transformation, we pray these trees will stand as symbols of hope and renewal in Christ.
Additionally, we planted a fifth tree in honor of Our Holy Father, Pope Francis. His unwavering message to protect our planet inspires us all to cherish and preserve the gifts of creation for generations to come.
We thank Fiore Nursery for their donation of the trees for this event.
