Stars, Stripes, and Smiles: Celebrating the 4th of July

By July 11, 2025July 21st, 2025No Comments

Last weekend, the spirit of Independence Day was alive and well at St. Joseph’s Home and so was the smell of burgers on the grill!

Our Residents and Little Sisters came together to celebrate the 4th of July with a festive summer cookout, complete with delicious food, music, and joyful company. Red, white, and blue decorations filled the dining room, and the sound of laughter blended beautifully with the classic tunes that brought back memories of summers past.

The grill was sizzling as our kitchen team served up burgers, hot dogs, and all the cookout favorites. Residents gathered with the Sisters under sunny skies and in our dining rooms, enjoying a relaxing afternoon full of friendship and fun. From tapping toes to patriotic songs to simply sharing stories over plates of food, it was a day to remember.

What made this celebration even more special was the overwhelming sense of community not just among those present, but from those who make days like this possible. These moments of joy, togetherness, and tradition are only possible because of the generous support of our dear Friends of the Home. Whether it’s through donations, volunteer time, or heartfelt prayers, your support brings life, light, and love into our Home.

To everyone who helps us continue our mission: thank you. You helped create a day full of smiles, music, and memories for our Residents and we are so grateful.

From all of us at St. Joseph’s Home, we wish you continued blessings and hope your holiday weekend was filled with as much joy as you helped bring to ours!
