Every Wednesday, our Residents look forward to some very special visitors at St. Joseph’s Home!
Each week, four Franciscan Postulants who are discerning a vocation to the Franciscan Order come to our Home to volunteer, learn, pray, and, most importantly, spend time with our Residents.
Their visits are filled with all kinds of activities. They accompany Residents to our ice cream parlor, share lunch and conversation, host games like Bingo, pray together, and simply take time to listen and enjoy one another’s company. Along the way, they are also able to experience firsthand some of the pastoral duties and loving service that could become part of their future vocation.
For our Residents, their weekly visits bring friendship, laughter, youthful energy, and another opportunity to share their own stories and wisdom. For the Postulants, our Home offers a special place to encounter Christ through service to the elderly.
We are so grateful for the time these young men share with us each Wednesday. Please join us in praying for them as they continue discerning God’s call in their lives and wherever He may lead them!
