Exciting news from the Little Sisters of the Poor!
We’ve just completed a fantastic upgrade of our Apartment Residents’ Laundry Room, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Thanks to our wonderful supporters, we are able to continue providing a fully operational facility that our Apartment Residents truly deserve despite their independent living arrangements with Saint Joseph’s Home.
The laundry project included electrical work, special plumbing, the replacement of 1 broken washing machine, and the purchasing of an additional washer and dryer to allow Residents to complete all of their laundry each week.
This project was made possible through a series of fun fundraising efforts that brought our community together. We hosted a fabulous rummage sale right from our home, where treasures and trinkets found new homes. Earlier last month, the lobby turned into a vibrant hub of excitement as we displayed an array of delightful fundraiser raffle baskets, sparking friendly competition and community spirit. And, of course, we are incredibly grateful for the generous donations that came directly from our amazing supporters.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed! Your kindness has transformed the laundry experience for our Residents, making this weekly task easier and more enjoyable. Here’s to many happy laundry days ahead, filled with laughter and community spirit!
