The Feast of Corpus Christi Procession

By June 12, 2026No Comments

One of the blessings we look forward to each year is welcoming the Corpus Christi procession from St. Theresa Parish to our Home. Last week, we once again gathered outside as parishioners, families, Residents, Little Sisters, and friends made the prayerful walk from the church carrying Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament.

There is something very special about seeing Jesus come to visit our Home in this extremely public display.

As the procession arrived, many of our Residents were already waiting outside the front of our Home with joyful anticipation to welcome Our Lord. Hymns were sung, prayers were offered, and for a few beautiful moments, everything seemed to grow quiet as we knelt together before the Blessed Sacrament.

For many of our Residents, attending parish events is no longer easy. That is why this visit means so much. The Church comes to them, bringing with it the comfort, peace, and love of Christ. It is a reminder that they remain an important part of the larger faith community and that they are never forgotten.

We are so grateful to Father Tim and Father Matt, the parishioners of St. Theresa Parish, and everyone who participated in this year’s procession. Their faith and devotion are a beautiful witness to our Residents and to all of us.

As we celebrated the Feast of Corpus Christi, our hearts were filled with gratitude for the gift of the Eucharist and for the many friends who help bring the love of Christ into our Home. It was a simple afternoon, but one that will remain in our hearts for a long time.
