Arts, Crafts, and Bingo with Carmel High School Students

By April 21, 2026No Comments

The Residents enjoyed a fun and relaxed morning when a group of local high schoolers stopped by for arts, crafts, and games. The students helped everyone make button art and simple flower arrangements. Residents picked their colors, got creative, and worked side-by-side with the students. It was an easygoing activity but the room stayed busy with conversation and laughter.

Once the crafts were finished, the group moved on to a few rounds of bingo. The students helped call numbers, hand out cards, and cheer on the winners.

What made the visit special was how naturally the students and residents connected. The teens were patient, friendly, and willing to jump in wherever needed. The Residents shared stories, asked questions, and enjoyed having young people around. It was a simple afternoon, but it made a noticeable difference in the mood of our community.

Events like this show how valuable intergenerational activities can be. They give residents something new to look forward to and give students a chance to learn from people with different life experiences. We’re grateful for the time the students spent with us and look forward to more visits like this.
