This past week, our Residents at St. Joseph’s Home were blessed with a heartwarming visit from Girl Scout Troop 47427. These young girls, full of energy and kindness, spent the afternoon playing bingo with our elderly Residents, bringing laughter, joy, and companionship to our Home.
Troop 47427 is made up of 17 junior members who are working toward their Bronze Award this year. As part of their project, they chose to serve elderly communities like ours, a beautiful reminder of how God calls us to care for one another. Their generosity extends beyond our home—this same troop has also started a pumpkin collection and composting initiative that has kept thousands of pumpkins out of landfills!
Seeing these young girls interact with our Residents was a beautiful testament to the way our youth serve as God’s hands and feet in the world. Their kindness and presence brought so much happiness, reminding us of the power of simple acts of love.
From all of us at St. Joseph’s Home, we extend our deepest gratitude to Troop 47427. Thank you for sharing your time, your smiles, and your hearts with us!
